In 2004, he joined Ultima Vez/Wim Vandekeybus for the revival of Vandekeybus’ Les porteuses de mauvaises nouvelles and continued on as a member of the company until 2008. He then worked with artists like Claudio Stellato, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui and Victor Hugo Pontes as a collaborator and co-creator. In January 2010 he joined Eastman/Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, as a performer and creative assitant, and from 2013 on he only worked as a freelancer for Eastman and other dance companies, so he could develop his own work as a choreograher. Helder started the dance company HelKa vzw to focus on his own work. In October 2014, the first production When The Birds Fly Low The Wind Will Blow, a blasting full evening performance, premièred. Touching on subjects of memories lost and found, acceptance and possibility, with five dancers accompanied by live music of the band Maya’s Moving Castle, the show balances between lyricism and bursting energy. He had a première of his latest performance, In Absentia, in October 2015. [/read]
